In autumn 2004, 100g lavender seeds boarded a recoverable satellite to orbit hundreds of kilometers above Earth.

For 18 days, they floated in space vacuum under cosmic radiation and microgravity—an unmatched cosmic transformation impossible on Earth.

After the satellite’s return, the seeds were planted.

Space breeding holds unpredictable results: mutations may create wonders or no change. Researchers monitored them daily, awaiting results.

Miracles emerged the next summer. Seedlings bore unique blooms: deeper violet-blue petals, fuller layered spikes and a cool long-lasting scent blending starlight freshness and dewy softness.

Over 15 years, breeders screened and propagated generations to lock in its premium genes. A brand-new cultivar emerged.

We named it Space Blue.
